SIERRA VISTA

To be honest, when it comes to gore, I can take it or leave it. This third time however, with the ever inventive pornographic violence, and some further extended examples of John's cutely twisted philosophising and poetic monologues, it results in easily the best instalment.

I take it you're referring to "Saw 3" then? Really want to see that one myself. I loved "Saw 2", but I should probably get around to seeing the first one someday.

I'd agree, easily the best. One thing that I do like about the Saw series is that each instalment has pushed the character development (as well as the gore). As well as all the plot twists and the whole macabre settings it's probably one of the best things to happen to horror cinema recently. I found the beginning really squeamish in all truth, there's something about seeing excessive self-harm that just really fucks me up (there's a scene in Clean, Shaven that had a similar effect on me). Is there a fourth one coming out??

William, what did you think of Hard Candy? I loved it - one of my favourite films of last year. Got released on DVD yesterday, so well worth picking up.
